This is a beginner level workshop delivered by Ms Yukiko Ayres introducing participants to Japanese calligraphy. She will assist participants in writing basic lines and “Tiger” with a brush or pen. You can use normal white paper and pen or pencil if you do not have calligraphy paper, brush & ink.
This event will be online via Microsoft Teams. A link will be emailed to you just before the event starts. Ms Yukiko Ayres is a UK based private Calligraphy tutor. She started learning Japanese Calligraphy at the age of 6 and was apprenticed in the Calligraphy school of Nihon Shodouin and became a Doujin at the age of 26. (YouTube Channel)
Ms Kaori Onoda, a private Japanese Language tutor will be coordinating simultaneous Japanese translation. This event will be delivered in Japanese and English.
